STALKER series fsgame.ltx is corrupted. 'the file fsgame.ltx is corrupted. Go to 'fsgame.ltx' and open the file with Notepad. Praetorians mod imperial 5.1. Candy cnl 145 manual english. Feb 5, 2010 - fsgame.ltx from 'bin' directory, and wine bin xrEngine.exe from game's directory. As a flag the error changes from 'cannot open fsgame.ltx check your working folder' to 'cannot open. Yep i propose add string for starting commands to exe file for expemple. Thats the one I use for STALKER COP also.

Hello Stalkers!
I have been playing SOC and COP time to time and dint had any problems till today. when I start the game, it gives an error saying: 'the file fsgame.ltx is corrupted (it contains duplicated lines) please reinstall the game or fix the problem manually.' I'm not sure what's the problem is. I can always reinstall the game, but was wondering what the problem is. I don't use any mods or anything like that.

Hmm, maybe a fault in the memory or hard disk corrupted the file? That can be caused by misbehaving power levels too (too low or too high voltage, too little or too much electricity) so the RAM/HD not necessarily broken. Some malware can play havoc. File/s ever so slightly corrupted while downloaded and the problems did not manifest until now?
I cannot think of anything else.

but I also have clear sky and it works fine. but I never started clear sky before today. but all 3 games were installed at the same day. and I played both SOC and COP without any problems before today. but today I get this error. I really don't know what can be the problem.

Sorry, I never ran into any problems like that while playing Shadow of Chernobyl. Clear Sky I have not got around to looking at yet, so cannot help more.

well I did exactly what it said in the error msg: '(it contains duplicated lines) please reinstall the game or fix the problem manually' I deleted the duplicate in the fsgame.ltx file and it worked. but not sure why and how the duplicate was created in the first place. but, problem solved! :)

Exactly the same issue. I think the GOG version or the game in general suffers from the bug.
EDIT: Installed the game on two locations by accident.

falloutttt: Hello Stalkers!
I have been playing SOC and COP time to time and dint had any problems till today. when I start the game, it gives an error saying: 'the file fsgame.ltx is corrupted (it contains duplicated lines) please reinstall the game or fix the problem manually.' I'm not sure what's the problem is. I can always reinstall the game, but was wondering what the problem is. I don't use any mods or anything like that.

Go to 'fsgame.ltx' and open the file with Notepad.
you immediately notice the repeated lines in the file, read as follows:
